A YEAR IN REVIEW : BEST OF 2020
but we’ve somehow made it through.
I always try to find a way to eloquently explain my thoughts with words, but in the end it’s so much easier to just say it the way it is. Here are my feelings without much of a filter:
If there’s ever been a time where I can so clearly see my privilege, it’s been over the course of this last year. I struggled quite a bit, but not nearly as much as so many others. I feel heartbroken, guilty, and honestly- it feels inauthentic (and a little rude) to gush over gratitude in the wake of so much ongoing pain. For anyone who reads this and is still hurting, I am keeping you in my heart, and trying to send out all of the good vibes I can muster.
I also feel torn because if I don’t post the things I’m grateful for, I wouldn’t be sharing the stories of the people who let me into their world over the course of 2020, and it truly meant everything to me to still be able to follow my passion and document the lives of others. They deserve all of the same excitement and love as all of the other people I’ve worked with over the last 10 years, and because of that, I am posting this “Best of” blog entry in honor of them. Thank you (as always) to everyone who befriended me and trusted me with some of your most important life moments. It was the light in the darkness of the year-that-shall-not-be-named.
The following is a mix of professional images I’ve taken for others, as well as some iPhone captures from our year as well. Lots of Bryce photos, as we got to spend an extra-lot of time with him this year. I hope you enjoy, and that these bring a smile to your face.
